The Dog Whisperer

A few years ago my girlfriend and I thought it wise to galvanise our relationship with the addition of something small, furry and with no bladder control. I could be taking about a mini version of myself but I am actually talking about the purchase of a puppy.

The Shield

I rarely watch any kind of TV series nowadays. The commitment levels required of me to dedicate a specific time on a specific day of the week for six months or more surpass my Y chromosome’s tolerance threshold and therefore triggers fear.

The use of my Sky + system, which enables me to record any programme and also automatically locates future episodes, has somewhat alleviated the problem of commitment. However, with two of us in the household, each with our own occasionally mutually exclusive viewing preferences, the 20 GB of space is proving to be more restrictive than one might imagine. Managing the content on the hard drive and discussing what should be deleted and what should be saved is something I could live without.

The Totally Rad Show

Some of you may remember me mentioning The Totally Rad Show / Dudes in some of my previous blog posts. I am sure though that most of you will be completely oblivious as to what I was referring to. No, it is not the usually suspects of friends that gather at Phylaktis pad and hurl abuse at each other about the most mundane of things, although they too are Rad but in their own "special" way.

Family Guy: Blue Harvest (almost)

Mardas's picture

I have been snapping up box sets of Family Guy on the cheap for a few months now. They have become part of my stress busting routine on most evenings as I collapse on the sofa and stare at the idiot box and nurture my battered soul.

Seth MacFarlanes's animated series has been running on and off since 1999 on The Fox Network. Its has actually been cancelled twice but as it clawed its way to cult status and then went on to rack up impressive DVD sales Fox decided to bring the show back from the dead out of the kindness of their corporate hearts, CHI – CHING.
