I am both shocked and ashamed that we did not have a thread for this game.
Just got my copy today. I was going to play it if i had not started Far Cry 2.

Yeah we are a bunch of 360 fanboys
... need to pick this up soon to see if the PS3 is packing any punches.
Maybe we should all start playing this one at the same time, what do you think?

Started it 2day. I'm currently trying to endure the controls. Worst control schemes EVER. Great graphics and great guns but all the 6 available control schemes have a flaw. Whichever layout i choose, there is an action out of place. Haze was an average shooter but the fact that there was a fully customizable control scheme made me enjoy it a lot.
I finished the 1st level trying out the layouts and ended up just running and knifing everyone. On normal the AI is stupid at best. I run and knife everybody in the face while they shoot anything but me.
The 2 triggers of the dualshock 3 go to waste. Why couldn't they offer a control scheme that mimics the likes of COD or Far Cry 2 or Rainbow6:LA or GRAW or GOW or Halo3 or at least let me assign all the buttons?
All this has nothing to do with my rare 3-week transition from xbox360 to ps3 joypads. In the last 3 weeks i finished 9 games on ps3 without any complaints about the controls.

Just finished it on Normal. A great game. As good as Gears of War. Managed to find a controls layout that was sort of OK for me and after 6 hours it was all over.
Tried the MP and i liked it since i was already feeling comfortable with the controls. Does anybody want to join me for some MP?

I'm giving this game 7 out of 10. 5 = average
Pros:
Great graphics, effects and music score.
Decent story, weapons, set pieces, variety in gameplay (tank, AAgun, Exo)
Good MP, variety in unlockables
Cons:
No custom controls layouts, 6 available schemes have some flaws
No Campaign co-op, enemies are generic
