Forza Motorsport 3

The demo is out. I've been playing it for 1 hour. Graphics have improved a lot but still GT5 Prologue looks better. The handling is sweet as always and it's a day 1 purchase for me.

It's shame the demo does not support the racing wheel and they could have put a longer and wider track.

Funny and amazing incident: i was 1st and decided to try the collisions mechanics so i made a u-turn and rammed head-on the 1st car i saw. The AI car flipped over and stayed overturned the whole time while my ferrari did a whole front flip and landed on it's wheels. I saw the replay 20 times and couldn't stop laughing.

The game rocks! The physics

The game rocks!

The physics and handling models are exceptional and the community creates awesome set-ups, vinyl groups, photos, videos, designs, etc...

You will amazed by what awesome vinyl groups a talented user can create since the system allows up to 1000 layer vinyl group. I searched for dragons, olympiakos, ironman, goku, nike, jordan, ferrari, arsenal, altair, mario, metroid and found awesome photorealistic designs that were composed of hundreds of different shapes.

I will place them on some of my cars and upload the photos here. Midnight Club:LA was great in terms of creativity and imagination but it is something else!

Did not finish the career

Did not finish the career before MW2 came out so i went back to it now that the MW2 campaign is out of the picture.

I left it when i entered the 6th year and was about to compete in R1 class championship. I loaded it only to find out that turn10 had sent me 2 free R1 cars (exactly what i needed since i was still driver level 44 and i was still getting for free R2 cars) and 3 new hyundai cars available for buying.

The level or realism and simulation of this game never stops to amaze me. I race with damage set to realistic and so far i thought that chasis damage was cosmetic while engine, brake disks and gearbox damage was affecting the car's performance. I was wrong: chasis damage as well affects the car's performance. I had to race a class R1 car and damage it in order to realise that since a class R1 car is all about downforce. R class cars are generally more fragile so halfway though the race, after i had hit my front wing a few times, i started to notice that my top speed on the staights started to suffer and that the car understeered in turns where before it was doing fine. The engine and tyres were in a pefrect condition and temperature. After i intentionally completely damaged the front wing, the performance of the car dropped even more.

What a game turn10 have created. I believe in Kazunori and his team but they really need to sweat a lot for the GT5 to beat FM3 in terms of handling physics, realism and simulation and damage effects model.
