Re: FGS - Episode 4

FarCry 2 has a great map editor on the consoles. You will be amazed with the detail the maps contain and their close resemblance to maps of other famous FPS. The best point of the game is it’s open world approach and the choice one has in how to tackle the various missions.

All weapons jam and it the end break, even the brand new, it just takes longer.
Have you come across a golden AK-47? It never breaks or jams. I keep one it a the safehouse as a souvenir. I think there are a total of 8 in the whole game.
What I don’t understand is how people who love GTA open world and drive-to-location-a-get-directions-to-drive-and-get-weapon-from-location-b-drive-to-location-c-and-kill/beat/rob-target approach, complain about the same mechanics in FarCry 2.
The game setting and the 24-hour lighting system alone, make this game great. I believe it also has great replay value since a different weapons load-out at a different time of day/night will yield different experience in any given mission.

As for Killzone 2, the game visually is great and has some nice set pieces with quite challenging enemy AI in higher difficulty settings but I HATE the controls (buttons layout – sensitivity in relation to acceleration and deceleration of the aiming reticule trajectory). If an owner of a PS3 asks me what FPS he should buy, I will tell him COD4, COD5, GRAW2, R6:LV2, FarCry2 and probably some others before I mention Killzone 2.

As for a cure for the lame trigger buttons on the PS3 pad, get this:

I got it from play.com for 5 Euros. They are very easy to attach and detach while they do not come off while I’m playing. You get a real trigger feeling and your fingers do not ever slide off.
