Bricks, treasure and hidden rooms
Monty never got into Lego. Spending hours putting lumps of plastic together just didn’t seem as much fun as getting Action Man and Cindy together behind the Doll’s house.
But after mucking about on Lego Star Wars 2 and now having lashed the whip Harrison Ford style in Indiana. The man is hooked. The hours spent searching for artefacts, cantinas, power bricks etc. have proved strangely rewarding.
1 x LCD High Definition TV - £1200
1 x HDMI Cable - £30
1 x Xbox 360 - £130
And all of this 1080p splendour so that Monty can watch little block men jump about and build little block vehicles like that rather bizarre tractor in the middle of Yoda country. But why should anyone like this game? The idea of a story mode followed by exactly the same thing in free play is a bit like buying a DVD and having to watch it once before you unlock the
scene select and chapter options. Nobody would buy a film if they had to watch it through 30 times before they could finally see it with all the actors in. But it works. Perhaps everything will be like this one day. Downloaded MP3s will contain only vocals; only repeated listening will reveal each instrument, backing vocal and everything else necessary to appreciate the song in its fullest form.
Today’s forecast:
Pimms, followed by light snoring and the odd yawn.

Re: Bricks, treasure and hidden rooms
I love LEGO. I was playing the whole time back in the old days until ATARI came along and shifted the balance towards video-gaming. Lego Batman is also good.
I hope they release: Lego Rambo, Lego Wolverine, Lego Back to the Future, Lego Resident Evil, Lego Metal Gear, Lego G.I.Joe, etc.
Lego Lethal Weapon and Lego GTA should be great co-op games.
Re: Bricks, treasure and hidden rooms
Lego A-Team, Lego Terminator, Lego Platoon, Lego Shaun of the Dead... Man I could go on and on with this.
Re: Bricks, treasure and hidden rooms
How about Lego Dumb and Dumber or Lego MacGyver or Lego Braveheart?
