This week's releases 10/11 - 16/11

No, it's not the expansion pack to the MMO that millions of  people are paying to play almost 24 hours a day. Nope, it's not WoW: Wrath of the Lich King. Neither is COD: World at War a follow up (but not quite) to one of the most critically acclaimed and commercialy successfull games of 2007. At any other week of the year i may have said, it's a fresh new IP called Mirror's Edge but it was just not meant to be. No, not this week.

Because we are addicts and just cannot help ourselves. We live and breathe football and slamming our fists on the mousepads as our strikers shoot wide and curse when our super stars get injured for 2 months. This is Football Manager week.

Football Manager 2009 (PC/Mac)
WoW: Wratch of the Lich King (PC)
Mirror's Edge (PS3, 360)
COD: World at War (360, PS3, PC, DS, Wii)
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts (360)
Shaun White Snowboarding (360, PS3, PC, Wii, DS, PSP)

Re: This week's releases 10/11 - 16/11

I am getting COD, Mirror's Edge and Banjo immediately.

Re: This week's releases 10/11 - 16/11

Queuing overnight outside Micromania for FM2009 while pre-ordering Mirror's Edge from Game!

Re: This week's releases 10/11 - 16/11

Does overnight queuing actually exist in Cyprus. Did it twice in UK (MGS3 and GTA:SA). Would do it again....

Re: This week's releases 10/11 - 16/11

Never did it myself.  Dunno if i would unless i had good company.

I know there is a midnight release part at Megaland for the WOW expansion pack and they did they same thing before for another WOW expansion pack.

They say the current divorce rate is 1 in 3 in Western Europe, make that 2 in 3 for FM and Champ Manager players, the game is like some sci-fi portal that destroys time.  I just don't know if I can commit to a new release and turn my back on absolutely everything again.  I'll stick with admiring the landscapes in FarCry 2 for now.

Re: This week's releases 10/11 - 16/11

"Of the eighty-or-so new additions, by far the most groundbreaking is the 3D match engine, without a doubt the finest new feature any FM game has ever possessed. It's striking just how much added excitement and immersion the extra dimension provides, with matches transformed from entertaining tactical battles between top-down spheres to genuinely lifelike battles between human-looking players. Further heightening immersion is the full-screen depiction of the action, which can be viewed from several diverse camera angles. Thanks to some fairly lifelike animations, you almost feel as though you're watching a real game, with the action perfectly complemented by an array of optional match information widgets."
