With this first blog i want to say EYRHKA!!!!!!!
i made the best discovery for XBL i could have ever find!!!!!
My demonic mind, my skills on IT and my passion for games led me to this discovery!!!!
i know why sometimes we cant connect to each other on games, usually with other people!!!!
what causes this problem is the following
1) NAT should be open! best way to have your NAT open is by putting your XBOX on DMZ.. its a place on your router where everything is open. if you need any help i charge 1000000000000 zillion euros!!! hehe joking msg me and i will be glad to help a fellow gamer.
2) your router guys most of the routers out in the market have on them a function called UpNp which is translated to universal plug and play, this is used for refrigerators tv's or any other home appliance that might connect to the internet. if you dont have any of those appliances and you only have your PC and XBOX on the network then i advise you to DISABLE that feature. this is what causes me troubles and i cant jam with MIOU! thats the reason why i cant connect to all those games on COD4. i read this interesting finding in my networking books;) this feature automatically assigns ports etc, but eventually if you dont have those appliances mentioned above you will have a big connection problem!!!! i will try it ASAIGH as soon as i go home hehe!!!!!! i am sure that this is the problem. so what i would do is disable this feature on my modem and on my router!!!! i hope it is !!!! but i am 99% sure this is the problem, all those problems are caused by this universal plug and play option.
i hope this will fix all my problems and i will be able to play and rock on with my digital brothers!

I hope this is the solution to all the problems we have been experiencing between ourselves and finally enable us to jam in Guitar Hero III and also get to play some Advance Wars on the DS with Costa.
Keep us informed and if it does work out please post some more details as to how to switch to DMZ (I wish it was all Greek to me as I am clueless about these sort of things).

ok i will give you an example
ok i will give you an example of the linksys routers just to get the idea on how to do this.
first of all you have to check for two different things,
there is an easiest way rather than opening the ports, this is done through the DMZ.
first of all what you do is figure out the IP of the router, this is usually the default gateway.
in order to find your default gateway you open network connections and on the status it shows you the IP you are looking for. for example is 192.168.1.1
you can also see it through the command prompt with the following commands:
ipconfig /all
default gateway is the router(usually)
ok if its a linksys router you open your web browser and on the address bar you write 192.168.1.1
it will open you the web interface of the router.
there you will find a tab named Applications and Gaming. Press on that. then you will see an option named DMZ.
enable DMZ and there you will see an IP being like 192.168.1.empty
there on the empty you put the XBOX IP.
now your xbox is naked in front of the modem! dont be afraid for viruses because the xbox wont get virus....NAT should be open.
the other discovery i found is through another application of the router called UPnP (universal plug and play)
this is used widely for refrigerators, tvs or any other home appliance that you can connect to a network.
its not needed for pc's and consoles!
So try disabling UPnP which is found in the Administration tab.
I believe some of the reasons people cant connect to people is because of this, ok maybe sometimes is through your ISP that there is a problem but OK. i know that by disabling this UPnP will make a difference. MIOU i think this is the reason we cant connect to each other! i had enabled UPnP on both my modem and router. it opened automatically ports and i believe this is the reason of this big mess.
i made the changes last night and i finally played guitar hero with a friend!!!! i didnt try COD yet cause last night all you babies were sleeping! i hope i can try it today!!!!

I tried it yesterday, did everything by the post. Tried to play on multiplayer Unreal Tournament but haven't noticed something drastic yet. I guess I'll try Halo 3 - because that one was giving me some headaches regarding the NAT not being open properly, or something.
